August 13, 2015 – ConfigureTek successfully delivered the webinar “Best Practices for Integrating HP UCMDB with the ServiceNow Service Desk”. ConfigureTek’s experts presented strategies for leveraging the HP UCMDB to drive efficiencies across IT Service Management. The event was attended by IT Service Management professionals across North America including systems administrators, analysts, process owners and solution architects.
The session was focused on helping organizations understand process and tools alignment critical in a multi-vendor Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) environment. The HP UCMDB, populated with rich CI attributes and relationships, is an invaluable data source for any service desk within the SACM framework.
The webinar covered a case study and overview of a tactical implementation approach for integrating HP UCMDB with the ServiceNow Service Desk. The implementation guidance included an overview of the out-of-the-box integration adapter provided by the HP UCMDB, discussion around requirements gathering workshops, tailoring the integration to an organization’s specific needs and also tracking metrics or KPIs following the integration.
